You do not need eight hours a day to improve your band. You need a consistent routine that targets your weakest skill. This plan assumes 60-90 minutes on weekdays and a longer session at the weekend.
Week 1: find your level
Take a full mock test on the first weekend. Your results decide where the next three weeks go - most people improve fastest by fixing their lowest skill first.
Weeks 2-3: targeted practice
- Weekdays: one short lesson plus 30-40 minutes of practice on your weakest skill.
- Every other day: 20 minutes of Speaking out loud - record yourself and listen back.
- Weekend: one Writing task under timed conditions and a Reading test.
Week 4: exam conditions
Sit a second full mock on the final weekend before your test, then spend the last days reviewing mistakes - not learning anything new.
Consistency beats intensity. Thirty minutes every day will do more than one exhausted five-hour Sunday.
